Macherey Nagel Saltesmo Halide test strips

Macherey Nagel Saltesmo test strips. These strips detect the halides chloride, iodide and bromide in water. The test strips are actually test patches. These are pricked to allow the test solution in and start a progressive reaction. After 2 minutes the results can be read off from a chart. 30 test patches per pack. For sodium chloride the patches test 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 g/L NaCl. Equivalent results are shown for KCl (0.3 - 6.4 g/L), NaBr (0.45 - 8.8 g/L) and KI (0.7 - 14.2 g/L). Example if the target value is for iodide then the KI value has to be converted to I. Iodide is approx 78.4% of KI by weight. Therefore the highest value 14.2 g/L KI corresponds to 10.98 g/L I.
