Filtration / flocculation test

Many waters that appear coloured or cloudy can be significantly improved by either filtration or flocculation using a chemical flocculant. However the result depends on the types of colloids, suspended materials or colour in the water. This test uses filtration and flocculation bench tests to distinguish between different colloids and suspended particles in the water. The results show the potential of the water to be treated by filtration or flocculation on a larger scale. Choose this test for water that is cloudy, coloured or that contains suspended material.
