Just a note on services. Apps Labs previously carried out laboratory work – on soil testing and later water testing. Sometimes there was follow-up work on soilless mixes, fertilizer plans and soil management for soils and consulting on water treatment and management. Nowadays we take advantage of the excellent, cost effective and timely testing carried out by other highly proficient commercial testing labs.
This also means that we can offer a broader range of tests and testing options. For example many labs today offer soil testing that better reflects the actual nutrients available to plants. Testing is also available that utilizes earlier methods so that growers and farmers familiar with interpreting traditional tests can still get value from the results. Not only that, more recent soil tests have been developed that are based on a better understanding of soil function and plant soil interactions.
So that clients can get better value from soil and water tests and our other services related to soils, farm production, land management etc we have integrated laboratory testing services with a traditional consulting role.
For example instead of you or us just sending off a soil sample for testing we will take you through the process of sampling, getting the test done, interpreting the results and developing a nutrition / fertilising plan for moving ahead. Some engagement time is factored into the package price so please allow a small amount of time where you will be supported to go through the test results and to develop a plan. Our new module is the Complete soil test. The cost of the test is included in the Module cost. We do the Farm water test the same way.
